Andrea Yarbrough and Shawn Yarbrough Obituary: St. Johns County Fire Rescue lieutenant and wife found dead in St. Augustine murder-suicide

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, a St. Johns County Fire Rescue lieutenant and his wife were discovered dead inside a house in the Entrada Subdivision in St. Augustine on Thursday at around 9:20 p.m.

The identities of the two victims, Andrea Nicole and Lieutenant Shawn Yarbrough, were verified by the sheriff’s office on Friday night.

Shawn Yarborough, according to the police, shot himself to death. In addition to being shot to death, Andrea Yarbrough’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Wendolyn Sneed determined the causes of death.

This is referred to the SJCSO as a “tragic isolated incident.”
