Jim Fridell Obituary Camden, AR: In loving memory of 81-year-old killed in Monday crash on U.S. 79

On Monday, June 10, 2024, at around 6:10 p.m., Jim Fridell, a resident of Camden, Arkansas, passed away in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 79 north of Camden.

A preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police states that Fridell was traveling north on the highway in a 2021 Ford F-150. His car veered into the southbound lane and collided with the left front of a 2012 Honda Accord being driven by 51-year-old Anity Anthony of Camden. The Anthony car stopped on the southbound side of the road. The Fridell came to a stop in U.S. 79’s inside southbound lane. The collision occurred north of the crossroads with US 278. Both Anthony and the 81-year-old passenger Mary Fridell suffered injuries. They were sent to UAMS and the Ouachita County Medical Center.

The Anthony car stopped on the southbound side of the road. The Fridell came to a stop in U.S. 79’s inside southbound lane. The collision occurred north of the crossroads with US 278. Both Anthony and the 81-year-old passenger Mary Fridell suffered injuries. They were sent to UAMS and the Ouachita County Medical Center. The road was dry and the weather was clear. For the Arkansas State Police, Cpl. John Parker looked into the collision.

”Russ’ grandfather, Jim Fridell, passed away on Monday, and his services are today. The store is open, but with both of us being gone, it leaves only Brandon so it will be closed from 12-1 to allow him to have a lunch break. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you all for your continued prayers,” Fridell’s Appliances and More said in a media release.
