Collin Zavoda #50, an ice hockey player for the Bridgewater-Raritan Boys, was a cherished son, brother, friend, and teammate who sadly passed away. His brilliant smile, kind demeanor, and limitless energy made him a shining star in his neighborhood. The cause of Collin Zavoda’s death is yet unknown. His family is in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

Playing youth hockey with the Protec Ducks, Protec Predators, Hunterdon Bears, and Bridgewater-Raritan High School Panthers, Collin loved the rush of competition. He was renowned for his warm demeanor and upbeat outlook, which made everyone in his vicinity feel included and welcomed, whether they were on the ice or not.

He accepted the task of becoming a youth referee throughout the course of the previous year in order to support the hockey community. Collin also participated actively in the Boy Scouts, where he enjoyed the company and activities. Elsa and Doug, his parents, as well as his brother Mitchell, a high school senior this year who is finding it difficult to handle the emotional load, survive him.

Collin leaves behind family, friends and many who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
