Isaiah Neal Obituary Lawrence: In loving memory of 17-year-old killed in Lawrence Shooting

Following an overnight shooting that claimed the life of a 17-year-old Lawrence teenager, authorities are requesting the public’s assistance in finding a person of interest.

Isaiah Neal, a resident of Lawrence, passed away this morning at a local hospital after police were called to 2406 Alabama St. in response to gunshot complaints at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday. Neal was discovered by Lawrence Police Department officers to have several gunshot wounds. While paramedics from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical arrived, officers started life-saving procedures on Neal.

According to a police department news release, LPD investigators worked all night and continued to follow leads on Thursday, but no arrests have been made. Police posted on social media on Thursday afternoon that they were searching for Cir Allen Keith Glover, an 18-year-old who they claimed may have “valuable information about the case.”

In Lawrence, there have been two suspected homicides in the previous three days. As previously mentioned, the police department is also looking into the death of 43-year-old Christopher Allen Lickteig, who was involved in a brawl on the side of the road near the Lawrence Community Shelter in eastern Lawrence. George Luke Miller, 34, a shelter resident, is one of the suspects that police have detained.
