Kyle Dierks Obituary: 28-year-old Tipton, Iowa man identified as victim in fatal Muscatine County accident
Kyle Dierks, 28, of Tipton, Iowa, was the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in Muscatine County on Monday, according to troopers.
A crash report states that about 3:30 p.m. on Monday on Highway 38 in Muscatine County, Dierks was traveling south on a 2022 Kawk motorcycle while Margaret Brown, 81, was driving a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder and Bruce Dagel, 77, was operating a 2011 Jeep Liberty.
According to cops, Dierks struck the Nissan on his motorcycle as Brown was heading west at Brookview Road. The Nissan came to a stop in Highway 38’s southbound lane.
While Dierks was in the road, the motorcycle continued and was struck by the Jeep before coming to a rest in the ditch, according to the cops. The Jeep came to a stop on Highway 38’s east shoulder.
According to the state patrol, the Dierks perished in the collision. A second individual, Gary Brown, 82, was evacuated by emergency medical services to a nearby hospital due to injuries sustained in the collision.
The crash is being looked into, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
