Nick Minske Motorcycle Accident: East Grand Forks, Minnesota Man and Father of 5 Died after Motorcycle Accident on June 15

Nicholas “Nick” Minske, from East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and a well-known local racer, has sadly passed away. The news was shared in a social media post that read, “Bemidji Speedway would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Nick Minske. Nick is a late model driver from East Grand Forks, MN, who was involved in a serious accident this past weekend. Tomorrow morning, he is being taken on life support, and his organs will be donated.”

What happened to Nick Minske?

A car and a motorcycle collided close to Grand Forks, injuring four people, one of them critically. The incident happened on Saturday, June 15, at around 8:30 p.m., at the intersection of County Road 5 and 32nd Avenue South, some four miles west of town. The incident included a 2009 Pontiac Vibe driven by an unidentified juvenile and a 2021 Honda motorbike driven by Nicholas Minske, 35, of East Grand Forks, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The motorcycle was travelling south on Grand Forks County Road 5, according to the NDHP report. At the stop sign, the Pontiac decelerated and proceeded through the intersection with 32nd Avenue South and County Road 5. The Pontiac was damaged on the passenger side by the motorcycle.

After suffering severe injuries, the motorcycle’s driver was transported to Altru Hospital for medical attention. To receive medical attention for their wounds, the Pontiac’s occupants were also transported to Altru Hospital. The Highway Patrol reports that the injuries sustained by the occupants of the vehicle were not life-threatening. There were no injuries to the driver.

Nicholas “Nick” Minske was a late model driver from East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and the son of Stuart from Stuart Towing. He is the kindest, caring, and helpful young man you will ever meet. When family or friends called him and needed his assistance, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He is an amazing person. Nick was a loving husband to his wife, Rachel, and five children.
